Chris Ferguson-Martin
Chris Ferguson-Martin is a first year law student at the University of Victoria in BC, having completed his Honours BA at Trent University with a Major in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Economics. In between his academic ventures he decided it would be fun to go for a bike ride and elected to ride by himself around the perimeter of the United States. Originally from the frigid flatlands of Winnipeg, Chris spends much of his time cycling, playing ultimate frisbee and enjoying a cold one. He maintains an affinity for cinnamon buns, Eggs Benedict and funny t-shirts. Chris is also optimistic that during his lifetime, the Toronto Maple Leafs will win the Stanley Cup. One day.
Tim is currently a Master's student in the School of Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia. In June 2010, he completed his Honours BA at Trent University with a joint-major in Environmental & Resource Studies and Human Geography. His research and academic interests include environmental policy and planning, water management, public transit, active transportation (cycling and walking) and climate change adaptation planning. He loves cities and hopes to play a role in making them more sustainable and livable from Vancouver's green roof potential to Mumbai's public transit possibilities. Like Chris, Tim is an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. His favourite sports include hockey, soccer, ultimate frisbee and ping pong.
